In their own words..
It’s quite fascinating how the company has evolved in the past five years, into a major client winemaking facility.
Mark has been a client winemaker at New Zealand Wineries Limited since 2009, the year the company began its journey as a major contract winemaking facility.
Mark’s previous winemaking job was at Corbans and Pernod Ricard, where he also experienced his very first harvest in 1980.
Born and bred in Blenheim, Mark has been a winemaker for 20 years.
Anticipation for the coming harvest is never far away, and Mark says the year-long process of winemaking means every day at NZW is different, and the unpredictability of the job is something he strives on.
Mark’s most memorable wine experience was taking a New Zealand representative wood chopping team on a wine tasting trip through the Hunter Valley.
