The south San Francisco conference centre hosted the inaugural International Bulk Wine, Bulk Spirits and Private label trade show on the 26th and 27th of July. With over 85 exhibitors from the new and old world, wine companies purely focussed on the commercial trading of bulk wine and private label wine business.
With a high American presence, both as exhibitors and attendees there was an ongoing discussion over the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) and the future of the USA given its new administration both for the immediate and long-term future growth.
Notwithstanding the above, it became obvious very quickly that the growth of wine consumption within the USA was tracking upward and the market opportunity for bulk wine & private labels was following suit.
New Zealand Wineries was one of only three exhibitors and as such we (not surprisingly) had a great interest in our current and future production of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc in addition to interest in Pinot Noir both from the Marlborough and Central Otago regions. It was great to hear that New Zealand is still perceived as being very pure and sought after as a premium wine producing nation.
Established in 1997, New Zealand Wineries is the industry’s only independent contract processing (also known as contract crush) and commercial winemaking company located in the middle of the Marlborough region. With many highly recognisable clients ranging from multinational corporate to small boutique in size, New Zealand Wineries has both the specialist knowledge and technical capability gained over the exponential growth of the Kiwi industry over the past 20 years.
